The Makita XNB02Z 18V LXT Lithium-Ion cordless 2-1/2" straight finish nailer is perfect for trim work, baseboard and crown molding installation, flooring, and other woodworking tasks. With a compact and powerful design, this nailer can drive standard 16 gauge straight finish nails from 1" to 2-1/2" in length, holding up to 110 nails in its magazine.

Utilizing an 18V LXT 5.0Ah battery (sold separately), the XNB02Z can drive up to 1,000 finish nails on a single charge. It features an anti-dry fire mechanism to prevent driving blanks and damaging the work surface, along with a 2-mode selector switch, trigger lock button, and "tool-less" depth adjustment for precise flush and countersink finish.

Part of Makita's expanding 18V Lithium-Ion system, the XNB02Z is compatible with the world's largest cordless tool system powered by 18V Lithium-Ion slide-style batteries. Makita's 18V Lithium-Ion batteries have rapid charge times for more time working and less time waiting. The Star protection computer controls provide improved tool performance and extended battery life, protecting against overloading, over-discharging, and overheating by allowing real-time data exchange between the tool and battery.

The nailer can also be powered by Makita 18V LXT and compact Lithium-Ion batteries with the Star symbol indicating Star protection inside. Its powerful motor can drive standard 16 gauge straight finish nails from 1" to 2-1/2" in length, with the ability to drive up to 1,000 nails using an 18V LXT battery. Cordless for convenience, this nailer eliminates the need for a compressor and air hose. The compact center height enables easy viewing around the nose tip when fastening in tight spots, and the reversible belt clip allows the tool to remain close at hand.
