The Makita 18V X2 LXT Lithium-Ion (36V) Brushless cordless 1/2 gallon HEPA filter backpack dry vacuum kit is a powerful and portable clean-up solution that eliminates extension cords found in corded backpack vacuums. It also serves as a robust Dust extraction solution for contractors, bridging the gap between low-capacity on-board dust extraction systems and larger wheeled canister job site vacuums that are less portable. Ideal for cleaning crews and construction applications, this backpack dry vacuum is powered by two 18V Lithium-Ion batteries, delivering 36V power without leaving the 18V LXT battery platform.

The innovative BL Brushless motor generates 70 CFM of suction power and 44” of static water lift, allowing for fast clean-ups and improved dust extraction without the hindrance of a cord. Weighing just 9.9 lbs. (With empty dust bag and two 18V 5.0Ah batteries), this vacuum features padded shoulder straps and a waist belt with multiple adjustments for a comfortable fit. Cordless and compact, the push button power selection controller attaches to the harness's waist belt for easy operation. The 39” flexible hose includes a telescoping extension wand that provides an additional reach of 20” – 34”.

The efficient HEPA filter captures 99.97% of particulates 0.3 microns and larger, prolonging the main filter's life. The half-gallon dust collection container is easily removable for convenient dust disposal. When used with two 18V 5.0Ah batteries, the vacuum offers up to 90 minutes of continuous operation on low setting and 60 minutes on high setting. This vacuum is part of Makita's expanding 18V Lithium-Ion system, powered by 18V Lithium-Ion slide-style batteries known for their fast charge times.

For enhanced tool performance and extended battery life, Makita implemented Star protection Computer controls to prevent overloading, over-discharging, and overheating. Additionally, the tool can also operate using Makita 18V LXT and compact Lithium-Ion batteries with the Star symbol, indicating Star protection inside. The BL Brushless motor runs cooler and more efficiently for longer life by eliminating carbon brushes, making it a durable option for various cleaning tasks. The vacuum comes with a convenient and easy-to-replace disposable filter dust bag for hassle-free maintenance.
